Newsletter 1 February

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers […] day by day, attending the temple together […] praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
(Acts of the Apostles, 2:42-47)

This is Dublin West.

1:45 – 2:45 Fellowship Lunch

All are welcome to the fellowship lunch, in the Upper Room. Please bring your best and healthiest food, one that can bring joy and also nourishment and strength to our bodies. Mind that it should be a food easy to clean after! (As always, please take no food on the ground level.)

3:00 – 4:00 Afternoon program

For the afternoon program our attention will be brought again to the Bible. While singing Dare to be a Daniel we will prepare ourselves for a study entitled “Living against the flow”. Pastor Llew Edwards will lead us reflecting on what made Daniel and his friends resist a culture and an environment that conflicted with their values and beliefs.

Announcements

Serving in the street

Saturday night ACS Dublin is in the street again (GPO, 8pm). While this Sabbath is the turn of Romanian Church to serve, anyone else is invited to join and learn. Have you seen the video below?

Family Ministry meeting

You are invited to a special Sabbath dedicated to Family Ministry. Next Saturday, 8 February, our Family Ministry department will lead us and focus our attention to “Family Enrichment”. The program will be run in the morning, then we will share a fellowship lunch, and continue with an afternoon program on the same topics.

Day of Fellowship

On 29 February (yes, is a leap year) we will have Dublin Day of Fellowship. Location is Betania Church (we’ve been there before), in Damastown. The program includes divine service and afternoon program where choirs, projects and different initiatives will be featured. Mark it down in your calendar.

Lord’s Supper

As some missed our last uplifting experience of fellowship with the Lord, we announce now the next event, so you will mark it down in your calendar. For the first quarter it will take place on 21st of March.

BUC President visiting Dublin West

Pastor Ian Sweeney will visit Dublin West on the 23rd of May, 2020. Plan to be at your home church for the day, to enjoy an inspiring Sabbath and to get answers from the leader of the British Union Conference.

Our latest ACS efforts

We served last Saturday on a freezing cold night. All kinds of people turned to our table. We turned to each and every one of them. Thank you donors and volunteers. #theSaturdayPeople
