It’s just under 2 weeks away now until our training retreat for the Greater Dublin area on Sabbath 25th May. We are really looking forward to this time with you and are excited about this opportunity to meet together, share together, and encourage one another in our ministry.
Please take a few minutes to read all of the information in this letter as it is important. There will be up to 24 of us at the retreat, covering all 6 churches in our area – Ballinacrow, Blanchardstown Small Group, Drumcondra, Dublin Romanian, Dublin West & Ranelagh.
The Avon / Avon Ri – Burgage, Blessington, Co Wicklow
The Avon is situated right beside and overlooking Blessington Lakes. The Lakes were formed 50+ years ago by the building of Poulaphouca Dam and hydroelectric station. The Blessington Greenway, which we may get some time to explore if conditions allow, starts from The Avon.
Arrival & Departure
Please arrive before 10am in time for a 10am start. Upon arriving at the car park go into reception and they will direct you upstairs to where our meeting room will be. We plan to stick to the outline as strictly as possible, so we should finish at 5pm. You can avoid the €2 parking fee payable on exit by asking reception or in the restaurant area for a parking token.
We have allocated 1 hours 25 minutes for our lunch break. It will be a good opportunity to spend a little bit of time together getting to know each other more and if the weather is good we can go for a short walk. Please bring food with you to eat – a packed lunch. Being Sabbath and with varying food tastes etc we felt that this was the best idea. We can eat upstairs in the meeting room or outside at the picnic tables.
Water will be available throughout the day.
Pastor Adam Keough 089 211 1507
Pastor Christian Salcianu 085 223 4482
Heather Haynes 085 166 2380
Smart casual, also considering we may be outside at some point as well.
We will have a projector & laptop, flipchart & pens as well as paper & pens available for use.
As we make final preparations for our meeting together please take time during your daily devotional time to remember this in your prayers.

Each church is requested to make a short presentation (15 minute timeslot) going over the following elements:
• Basics about your church
• The best thing you’re doing in your church that you’re excited about and is going well that other churches might benefit from knowing about and possibly implementing – what, why, how, where, where?
• 2 of the biggest challenges which your church congregation faces at the moment. (After lunch we will identify any common challenges we face and consider possible solutions.)
We would request that you stick to the template above. The presentation can be spoken, visual, etc. It can be presented by 1 elder or a number of elders. Up to each church entirely.
